Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Feb 17, 2011 2:11 pm Hi all, Just looking into window coverings for our new build. Refusing to move in with any sheets as window coverings this time I want to have window coverings all sorted & installed before we officially move in (build is just getting started so heaps of time). Love the look of plantation shutters but don't know if our budget will allow for the hefty price tag...so I am wondering if anyone has thoughts on the vinyl shutters? Usually I don't like plasticy looking things and vinyl sounds tacky, but looking on the Vogue Shutters website they look quite good. Are we better off splashing out on the wooden ones and having them just to the front of the house (other coverings to rest of the home) or vinyl shutters throughout? Opinions appreciated.... http://8eightisenough.blogspot.com/ http://8eightisenough.blogspot.com/ Link to thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=45130&p=744918#p744918 Building the Windsor 43E by NBG Re: Vinyl Shutters - are they a no no? 2Feb 19, 2011 12:55 pm I have the Vogue plastic shutters and they are great. Very happy with them. Penrith Blinds installed them for me ( I am in Sydney) and they were great also. You cant tell that they arent wood unless you are up very close to them. They also have a 20 year warranty. Building in Bella Vista Waters Sydney.
