Very nice grey. We considered it for our kitchen splash but went a bit darker with Dulux Silkwort (colour above Dieskau on paint chip). Renovating our 1970s home Re: Recreating my Living room *Paint is becoming very Painfu 402Jul 05, 2012 6:57 pm So I went and bought a pot of Taubmans Silkworm tonight, turns out it is almost identical to Bleaches.. wouldn't have guessed that! You really just can't tell. So I have painted it on my other board in a large strip to get a better idea of how it would look... Part of me wants to try both the other Dulux colours but then part of me thinks if I am happy with the silkworm/bleaches then just do that.. Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping! I am going to do all walls in it and not do a feature wall colour for now. I am also going to have to wait until the weather forecast is a teeny bit warmer before doing the painting. Very excited to start changing the room!!! Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping! So after AGES, I finally have started painting! I had more big dramas, after I finally decided on a colour, I painted a patch on the wall of my bathroom. TURNS OUT THAT PAINTING IT ON A PIECE OF PLASTERBOARD IT COMES OUT TOTALLY DIFFERENT! I have NO idea how or why this happened. The board was painted the same colour as the walls and the paint was just coming out SO much lighter on the board than the wall. This had been going on for months!!!! DH and I can only figure that maybe the plaster is different on the board to the wall? Anyway long story short, I got out all 10+ sample pots and did test patches on the walls. Most of them were actually WAY to dark but one that I had ruled out was perfect - Dulux Vanilla Quake 1/4 . So I painted my ensuite and a wall in the living room and it is looking great!!! Cant wait til the whole house is done! Will post pics later! Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping!
