Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Nov 13, 2010 1:52 pm hi, I have a frame about 800mm long and 600mm tall. I'm unsure of its placement on the wall between a window and a sliding door. That wall is about 1.9M long. My room layout and furniture placement is very similiar to that pic Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ but our TV unit and the lounge are centred instead of leaning to the right ( the lounge is about 1.2M away from the window) and we don't have the buffet and the lamp behind the lounge. Since the living room is carpeted and dining is tiled ( the area on the right of the pic), will it look odd with the frame centred on that wall? ( So the living, dining area will not look very separated?) Or it doesn't matter provided it is centred ? I take it you're removing the wall light that I can see in the photo. Just remember not to hang the frame too high, as I see it done frequently. They say the middle of the frame should be around head height. Have fun decorating. Re: Advice for placement of a frame 3Nov 16, 2010 3:11 pm You'll be bridging two rooms together which is why you possibly feel like it may not work. I can see why given the clean break in the flow of the room because of the other furniture placement and floor coverings. Two narrower pictures may be more suited, with one by the sofa and one by the hall stand. That way the room still keeps its natural separation and each image will be viewed as part of each room. This is 100% true. You can not hang anything on steel frames. very frustrating 8 5369 Hi all, My first post, we are building a house and can’t decide the layout of the lounge room.
