Sorry if this has been covered before, I've done some searches but nothing came up.
I need some new eyelet curtains for my spare room (nothing fancy or too expensive, just a plain sky blue to go with my beach theme) and I'm having trouble finding any ready-made curtains in the right size. The drop is 220cm, which seems pretty standard so that's not really a problem, but the width of the pole (filial to filial) is 2300mm. Various websites seem to state that the width of each curtain should be the width of the pole (filial to filial). I have already bought and hung (prior to doing the research!) some 1100mm curtains which of course don't meet in the middle when pulled - so whose tiny windows are these made for? On eBay the widest ones I can find are 1450mm, which might meet in the middle at a push. Am I going to have to have them made (or attempt them myself of course - and in which case will the material come in the right length/width so I don't have to have seams)? It's not as if these are custom designed windows either, they are no wider than the window in my friends' houses. Have I got myself confused about sizing, or is it all just a big con by the curtain makers?
