Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 01, 2010 1:31 pm Hi I am new to this forum and was just seeking some advice for the colours for my doors, skirting boards and internal walls for my new home. So far I have chosen: Windows - anodic natural (a silver/grey colour) Flooring - Bamboo in living areas, grey tiles in wet areas, carpet (colour to be decided) in bedrooms) Kitchen cupboards - polar white and licorice linea Externals Roof, gutters and fascia - Colorbond surfmist External walls - a combo of colorbond surfmist, windspray and ironstone. I was thinking of possibly following the grey theme with the internal doors and making them a light grey. Do you think this would be too much grey and I would be better off sticking to white? If you think grey is ok, does anybody know of a nice light grey? Or otherwise a nice white that would match the colours chosen so far? Thanks in advance! Re: Internal Colour Advice 2Oct 03, 2010 3:32 pm Grey can be a depressing colour if not done right. Stick to a very light grey for the doors and look at something like Lexicon full strength for the walls and ceilings, it seems to have a hint of grey in it. I think I'll stay clear of the grey and just stick to white. Don't want to risk the house looking depressing!! Thanks. Yeh ideally that would have been good, but have progressed too far now. Hoping some well placed internal walls fixed up into the battens will provide some… 2 5393 Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 7898 3 10184 |
