Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 21, 2010 8:30 pm Our two boys who are 1 and 3 share a bedroom. It is painted in Dulux "self-destruct" and I'm after opinions for what colours to use in the room. I'm going with a "plane, trains and automobiles" theme and love this fabric for a bed doona and wondering should I go with the bright colours or the other colour scheme. Selection 1 http://www.hawthornethreads.com/fabric/designer/alexander_henry_house_designer/alexander_henry_novelty/truck_stop_in_natural Selection 2 http://www.hawthornethreads.com/fabric/designer/alexander_henry_house_designer/alexander_henry_novelty/truck_stop_in_pool Would one look better than the other or does it not really matter as both would go? It is easier to buy bedroom accessories in bright colours (like wall stickers etc) so I think the brighter colours would be easier to coordinate with elsewhere in the room. It is a large room with a window but because of the size of the window and its aspect the room doesn't get alot of natural light. Also as you said it's very easy to get bright items to match room like lamps, rugs, wall stickers etc Re: Colours for boys bedroom 4Sep 22, 2010 12:39 am I love the brighter colours, preferably with red in it! I have 2 boys the same age as yours and a girl who is 7 and I was wanting to put the 2 boys together instead of teh middle boy and daughter. Do you find the 3 year old wakes up the youngest? Is the youngest still in a cot? Thanks Sandra Re: Colours for boys bedroom 9Sep 25, 2010 8:54 am we have a red white blue cars type theme in Ds's room. the curtains and bedlinen match and are from freckles.
