I had the best website for some very expensive metal statues, they are unbelievable, but unfortunately….I can’t find the website for you. I have seen them in peoples gardens a lot. Sandra I'm not too sure what this is, can you please show a picture? Thanks! all the sand What about some sort of water feature, the ones that just have the water running down a flat piece of stainless steel at the back? Im at work now but will try and find a pic tonight You're right Jo, the hob only has one timber piece in the middle, the rest is hollow. If people use it to sit down, someone will eventually fall in! And I guess we dont really want that grom40 If you decide you want a sculpture try this website: http://www.sculptorsvictoria.asn.au/ Hope that helps wow some of the stuff on the website is pretty amazing! I had the best website for some very expensive metal statues, they are unbelievable, but unfortunately….I can’t find the website for you. If its very expensive, I dont think I can afford it. Its probably a good thing then that you cant remember, so at least I cant look and I cant fall in love with something which I cant afford to buy TheOK I thought grom40's link had some great pieces of art, I particularly liked Michael Meszaros's 'Willy Willy' and his 'Creepy Creeper'. WT* ... Did I just say I liked his creepy willy? creepy willy?! I quite like the 'willy willy' sculpture! I wonder how much it cost? So put hooks and hang your favourite handbags, a groovy shopping bag, a couple of great coats with scarves and hats and fill up the bottom with fabulous boots and shoes. Or even a European style dragon would look awesome too! But then, I am into dragons. Plants also - a long low pot/trough filled with some interesting plants could look great. Spikey stuff being all the rage, but a lot of softer looking plants, if you had enough variety in shape in the pot, could give a lovely green look. I'd pair those with something on the wall behind them. Maybe a mirror behind them to maximise light and double the green effect? Or a big photograph of a waterfall? (I know pots have been mentioned, but I haven't seen plants mentioned.) That sounds like a really cool chic thing to do, but probably not what i'm after. I think it would look a little too messy for what I'm after. But thanks for the suggestion @Trinia, dragons huh? Do you have any pictures of what you mean? @ saritha, I would love to see thw water feature. I'm not too sure about water features coz I keep thinking that the water will spill onto the plaster, and eventually rot everything! I'm paranoid, i know!! Have you thought of trying your local outdoor centre or garden shop? Local markets are another place you can get things like this without paying the earth. Sounds like a great project - weekend outings in search of "the one"! Re: Suggestions on what to put in my entry hob?!! 31Sep 11, 2010 11:23 am Hey guys, @kb46, you've got a good point there. Maybe I will try our local garden places to see what type of sculptures they have. Oh and here are pictures of the display home. This is what they put in the hob. http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr209/wonderland69/DSC09637.jpg http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr209/wonderland69/DSC09738.jpg Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Suggestions on what to put in my entry hob?!! 32Sep 11, 2010 2:01 pm Far out man, I had to search hard for these. So maybe if you found some vases that were like Large/Medium/Small or even some really nice chunky candle sticks - like chrome ones with white candles that would pop against that gorgeous colour (which may I ask what is it... I love it!!!) OR a hanging lantern? With a candle...
