Can you also tell me how much they normal charge to install a wallpaper? Re: Michelle help me find a place where i can buy wall paper 2Aug 21, 2010 10:30 pm I have just papered my hallway, study and one wall in my bedroom. I ordered the paper from http://www.selectwallpaper.co.uk/store/ Even with delivery it was much cheaper than it would have been here. One paper I ordered was $50 a roll - and I was quoted $149 a roll for the same paper in my wallpaper shop here!! They will even send you samples for a nominal amount that comes off your order later. Maybe have a look and see if they have the one you like (which looks v nice!) Re: Michelle help me find a place where i can buy wall paper 5Aug 22, 2010 5:10 pm Thank you soooooooooooooo much for such helpful information. I did look at the website which scozzy suggested and Scozzy thank you soooooooo much you have taken half the burden of my shoulders because i found the exact wallpaper i was looking for in that website and is coming for $50 a roll which is in my budget. The same wallpaper here in stores is $149 and i am getting 3 rolls for that price including postage my ordering online. I just hope that wallpaper comes without any damage. Scozzy can you tell how much they take to install wallpaper for my wall which 4.21 * 2.55 in size and may take 3 rolls of wallpaper. Re: Michelle help me find a place where i can buy wall paper 6Aug 23, 2010 12:44 am No probs! It's nice to be able to put something useful back into this site after taking so much good stuff from it My paper was on 5 walls and just under 5 rolls and I was charged $1250 + gst. This included the following that I quote from my quote - Quote: To covering floors for protection prior to commencing preparation work. Check over specified walls and apply a coat of Superbond latex sealer/size/adhesive, a water based product I have been using for over thirty years on all of my wallpaper jobs, then when dry, sandpaper over to make smooth and hang the wallpaper. you may need 6 rolls for the entry/hallway/living room walls if you only get 3 drops to each roll. The latex size aids in the attachment of the wallpaper and also in it's later removal. Cost $1250.00 + GST which includes the supply of latex size and adhesive for the wallpaper. Client to supply the wallpaper. He did a really good job. I'm in Perth though, don't know about prices in Melbourne. Re: Michelle help me find a place where i can buy wall paper 7Aug 24, 2010 8:01 am Scozzy, do the wallpaper installers charge you on the number of the rolls to be installed or on the number of walls to be installed? I mostly need 3 rolls of wallpaper for my wall, how much do you think they charge according to your experience? No idea really though, you'd be better off phoning some guys in Melbourne for a quote. Post some pics when you are done Maybe I'll post some pics of mine too if anyone is interested. I've gone with a beige/brown/purple leaf design in the hall/living area and a dark purple and pink flower in my bedroom. Sounds awful here but it's v nice in real life!! Bagheera - have pm'd you! I'm getting my ensuite done at the moment so my bedroom is like a bombsite. I'll take some photos in a couple of weeks once the workmen leave - of the bedroom wallpaper and my fabulous new bathroom (loads of pictures to come!!) Sharon I'd rather pay half the price and take the chance Re: Michelle help me find a place where i can buy wall paper 19Aug 04, 2011 11:15 pm porters paints have some interesting stuff...google porters wallpaper or just drop into a store Re: Michelle help me find a place where i can buy wall paper 20Aug 05, 2011 6:13 am Hi Sandil…..missed your thread. Sorry. I support eurowalls, which has already been mentioned here. But have just recently been looking for wallpaper myself, and can’t seem to find what I want. I’ll be buying off the net when I find what I want, more availability for me this way thanks to where I live. I’m in NSW, I have no idea where to get wallpaper down your way, but other members here are helping you out well. As to how much it costs to have a wall papered, I have no idea on that either, I’ll be doing my own. And from what I can gauge with tradies from state to state, it depends what they charge. Good luck with your search, love the style of paper you are after!
