How about painting the room something like Buff It? Or maybe - dare i say it - Hog bristle? The room itself will already be painted in Wattyl's Pearl Shell-which is a warm white-so I like your thinking! Thanks for "nippon paint" mention too as I was trying to think of paint comapanies and didn't think of Nippon. I am trying to think of a feature wall in the open living kitchen/lounge area-we have burnt orange tiles that actually can look red. Was tossing the idea of a really darkl blue/grey, black or something vibrant like a a tone of blue of some sort. Mmmmm... I like your thinking Dollar... Sounds good and I think it would go with your lovely tiles even though they are completely different colours Re: Feature wall or not? 43Aug 18, 2010 11:00 pm Ooohh do you think Flagstaff? I am not sure what to do yet. Need to go to the hardware store or Bunnings to get some swatches. Yes, Mum said to go with something different to the tile colours. Mum's are usually right. ATM we just have a big round mirror on the wall. I guess....warm or vibrant? Re: Feature wall or not? 45Aug 18, 2010 11:11 pm I'm thinking cool or warm... I think vibrant would be too much coz your tiles are vibrant. Mmmm... I lurve the metallics... or perhaps pearl effect?? Re: Feature wall or not? 46Aug 19, 2010 10:35 pm http://www.bristol.com.au/s08_creative/index.html Flaggstaff was actually thinking of this but maybe with less purple or no purple tinge to it at all. Initially I was looking at the Dulux Hazelnut metallic paint but I didn't love the colour and thought it looked too silver. Re: Feature wall or not? 47Aug 20, 2010 8:29 pm Went into Dulux today and grabbed a few colour swatches. I am thinking of a blue or metallic but I couldn't find any of their metallic samples. I still like my previous post sample re" metallic paint. http://www.marieclairemaison.com/data/i ... b32ok6.jpg Re: Feature wall or not? 48Aug 20, 2010 8:32 pm http://www.marieclairemaison.com/data/i ... b32ok6.jpg I was thinking perhaps a blue like this or maybe keep with the original plan and have a metallic wall like the previous post???? Re: Feature wall or not? 49Aug 20, 2010 9:09 pm Oooo...I like that blue Dollar!
