Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 09, 2010 1:15 pm I'm looking to add some colour via a few accessories to my kitchen, but am not sure what to do. Hoping to get some advice! Something in me says "go red", but I'm not sure if it will actually go with my colours without it looking like it's trying too hard, if that makes any sense! I want to buy a coffee machine to sit on my bench somewhere, and have been looking at the red Nespresso Citiz model (it's rather small and slimline), or the Nespresso cube one in bronze (which looks like a chocolate brown, but that isn't exactly introducing new colour!) Firstly, should I go red? Or a different colour? And what accessories should I get? If I go red, I am thinking the red coffee machine and some red cannisters, but the red coffee machine is a bit orangey for my liking, and then getting cannisters to match, what a headache! I'm not too keen on having a toaster sitting out, but have seen a really nice red one. The only appliances I tend to like sitting out are kettles and coffee machines. I need some ideas and online shopping links to some nice accessories, puhlease! Oh and here is my kitchen, which may help in picking a colour that will work! (or maybe I shouldn't add any other colour? ) Help appreciated!! Hel 2Aug 09, 2010 1:22 pm Katie- I know Erin has got "shots"of red in her kitchen (viewtopic.php?f=31&t=35754&start=40 Page 3) and Loretta does too...( page 29 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17870&hilit=plantation+shutters&start=560) I think that the plant you have near the window is giving you the colours I would choose! I hope you don't mind me posting the links to your beautiful kitchens girls! Hel 10Aug 09, 2010 11:32 pm Michelle Notice how the red ribbon on the plant ties in nicely with your timber floor? So are you saying that red is the colour I should go for for a splash of colour? I think I might go for a coffee machine (if I can find one in a nice red!) and some red cannisters, and that should be plenty of colour injection, right? I luuuurve this clock, though!! Think it would go nicely! But it would cost me about $120 to order it Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Splash of Colour via Accessories in Kitchen needed?? Hel 12Aug 10, 2010 6:23 am I like the clock as well; I’d pay $120 for that! Where are you getting it from?
