Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 08, 2010 1:41 pm After much deliberating, more deliberating and even more deliberating I keep coming back to Dulux "Limed White Half" for our walls. If I drop back to quarter strength for the trims, architraves and doors would the difference show or would it be too subtle? I don't really want to make a feature out of the trims etc - I would prefer to draw attention to timber floors and pictures on our walls. Would it be best to stick to half-strength for the trims etc as well as the walls? Re: Trims, Architraves and Doors Colour 2Aug 08, 2010 2:07 pm Why don't you just do the doors and trims in the same colour as the walls? That way there is no contrast (except from matt to gloss) and the floors and the paintings will shine against a blank canvas. I have the same colour on the walls and the trims in my house. I love it and much prefer it to a contrast. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I'd do the same colour as the walls (which is what I've just done with Whisper White), which I think looks quite classy. Re: Trims, Architraves and Doors Colour 4Aug 09, 2010 10:52 am Same colour throughout it is then! I've just noticed the trims and doors in our office are the same as the walls. (Perhaps the fact I've never noticed before means that's the exact effect I'm chasing LOL!)
