Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 05, 2010 4:08 pm I want to put a brown feature wall in my lounge and one in my dining. The dining has really pale terracotta tiles and I will be doing my lounge room floor in a light coloured timber laminate or bamboo. So has anyone got really dark feature walls and do you think smooth chocolate is too dark? My colour palette is browns, creams, terracotta, dark red Re: Smooth Chocolate... too dark for feature wall? 3Aug 06, 2010 8:24 am Very Nice Debooy, it really makes the paint stand out. Re: Smooth Chocolate... too dark for feature wall? 4Aug 06, 2010 9:32 am Great colour, Debooy! We had a deep chocolate in the master bedroom a few years ago and it was great. I had an ivory bedspread with latte & chocolate silk cushions. I don't think any paint colour is necessarily too dark, but it does depend on the room & what's in it. If I did it in a living area it would need to have natural light. It sounds like your rooms could be quite striking, Kandrock. I say go for it! Re: Smooth Chocolate... too dark for feature wall? 6Aug 06, 2010 7:27 pm I had a feature wall in my last house of Cafe Noir. It was dar dark chocloate (like Club chocolate in the packet), and I had 4 Bali tiles on it. I was in love with that wall, it was fabulous. Do it Kandrock, do it. It's only paint. www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com I would probably render it and then paint it as per your other advice, or gyrpock over the top. 1 3335 Hi All, I am looking to go with tiles instead of laminate timber flooring throughout my living areas for my new build (Ashbury 29 - Henley).
