Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jul 22, 2010 5:04 pm Hi guys, I'm in the process of furnishing my cinema room and I'm clueless. I thought you guys would be able to help me out. I'm not sure what type of furniture I should be using. Recliners are not an option due to room size. Also I can't afford anything more than $3000. Can you please suggest me with some ideas? (like 3 seater with chaise, day bed etc) Room size is 3.3m (l) x 4.5m(w). I have the screen on 3.3m side and a double sliding door opposite to it. Cheers, Jag Re: Furnishing cinema room 2Jul 22, 2010 7:01 pm Digijagan, are you intending on using this room as a guest room, or just the cinema room? I was going to suggest to you to get the chaise. So now I know you should. If you are using it as a door most days then it would annoy me to have furniture in front of it. If on the other hand it will never be used then you could treat it like a window and leave the curtains drawn with the furniture placed in front. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Furnishing cinema room 11Jul 23, 2010 8:25 pm Digijagan….there’s not a lot you can do with the placement of the furniture, you just have to do it. I prefer the Maddox arrangement. Which wall has the window, I assume there is one here? Maybe not? Second, it becomes expensive. Like what Michelle said, I think I do not have much choice. @Michelle, Windows are on right side when you enter doorway. Re: Furnishing cinema room 15Jul 26, 2010 11:47 pm Hmm....have two rows of chairs has its own advantage and disadvantage. I don't have a stepped or slopy room. Since Its flat, I prefer to have something like day bed or chaise. Actually I happen to see a love seat in Domayane and I kind of liked it.
