I'd hate to bugger it up now Re: Michelle style art for my spare room :) 22Jul 27, 2010 8:21 pm Well done Dilla. I like the 1st & last one. Your home is going to look beautiful. Then I put glue around the outside of the leaves so the edges stayed down. Number 5 was the big winner I've followed your instructions, Michelle, and glued the middle. Just waiting for them to dry properly then will glue down the edges. It looks good though (even if I do say so myself ) Re: Michelle style art for my spare room :) 25Jul 27, 2010 8:50 pm I painted my leaves after I glued them on to the canvas, you might have to do a touch up around the edges after the glue dries. They're actually wavy around the sides so it will be another adventure trying to get them to sit properly Re: Michelle style art for my spare room :) 27Jul 28, 2010 6:05 pm Yay for no. 5 Dilla, was the metallic paint difficult to paint?? Does it have to be painted in a criss-cross pattern? I brought some canvas from the Reject Shop to test some paint colours... but am now thinking of changing them into some artistic pieces Beautiful room Michelle! It was really easy to paint with, I did do a criss-cross pattern, but it looked good with long straight strips too. I think the pearl paint is really nice, seriously thinking of doing something similar in the main bedroom.
