We're currently in the process for trying to select our render colours. We want to fully render the front facade in two different colours. Hi Michelle, It will be going on the side where the three windows are... so looking for a complimentary colour around the garage. Thank you Re: Trying to pick render colours 4Jul 03, 2010 8:26 pm I’m going to have to say Evening Haze here. Only because your frontage is quite narrow and I wouldn’t like to see too many colours there. But I would then make your posts out the front Monument Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Trying to pick render colours 5Jul 03, 2010 8:36 pm But would it look wrong as our garage door, infill panel and downpipes etc are also evening haze?? Also our garage is double not single. Unfortunately all the colours need to stay where they are because they've already started building our house and will not let us change anything. Would it be best if we just stuck with one render colour then? Re: Trying to pick render colours 6Jul 03, 2010 8:42 pm Arhhhh so now we have a double garage not a single like in your pic. So now your frontage is longer. And does the Osso Bucco have to stay? No not doesn't have to stay... was just a colour that HTB liked. I am happy to see suggestions Re: Trying to pick render colours 8Jul 03, 2010 9:10 pm I’m getting very tied, and I have to work tomorrow again. Can you leave this for me to look at after work tomorrow, I don’t like working with colours when I’m tired, I’d hat to get it wrong. I would stick with one. Your frontage isn't that wide and from the design of the house, I don't see any need to go two. You've got enough colours in the front doors, guttering, fascia and windows. Re: Trying to pick render colours 12Jul 04, 2010 4:41 pm I agree with Dan, I think you need one colour only on the render What type of front door are you having Timber or painted? Front door will be painted in monument... I wish I wasn't so cheap when they said staining would be $250! Re: Trying to pick render colours 14Jul 05, 2010 6:32 pm I just stained my new front door, and to be truthful after the pain of it, I would have paid someone $250 to do the job……arrrrrrrr! Leave this with me, I’ll come back to you soon. One being darker in the same family. The painters are just painting our house Wattyl Oriental White (Has a very light pink tone) I'll start with the hallway/study area: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I am planning on painting wall 1a/1b in stripes of all the different wall colours I plan on using in my house. Base colour will be Dulux Sandy Day 1/2 strength. Do you think this will work? Or will it be too busy? Wall 2a/2b I am thinking of a medium coloured grey/taupe and then on wall 3 a really dark blue colour to frame the window like this... Will probably also paint the adjacent wall (top wall) in the dark blue. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Opinions please... Do you think this will work overall?? Entry and Study area 20Jul 28, 2010 8:33 pm I hope I'm not too late, just saw this thread. I'm going to disagree with Michelle (sorry Michelle ) and steer you right away from Self Destruct as the render colour. We have Evening Haze (gorgeous colour ) garage door, guttering, fascia and downpipes and black windows. Our Self Destruct render looks yellowish against it. I'll be repainting it Dulux Barnfloor in the future. Here's a pic of my house. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself.
