They are said to be fade proof, fire retardent and have a 10 year warranty. We are looking at white ones and were told they are guaranteed not to go yellow. Thanks for your comments. Re: Bedroom Window - ideas needed please 13Jun 25, 2010 11:59 pm why dont you get full timber venetians. i have used set sized ones and cut them to size before, relatively easy and i am not a handyman. the reason i mentioned this is cause i got mine from spotlight and they are having there 50% off sale now. Only goes for a few days though. they have heaps of sizes to choose from. Pick the closest size and trimm it. i did this for whole house before and they were gr8 for keeping most of the light and nearly all of the heat out. and my house also faced west. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=37134 THE THREAD https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=35962 THE BLOG! http://pedrosinspiredbeauty.blogspot.com/ BRICKS BRICKS ARE FINISHED... I see what you mean about curtains being out of balance if only having 2 panels, hadn't thought about that! Maybe it would be better to have 2 panels on the bigger window and loose some light. Have you seen or done this on similar windows before? Otherwise I guess I could go back to timberlook verticals, but back to problem of insulating properties! I don't have any photos I can show you, although I have seen this type of solution to similar windows. Roman blinds that are interlined will give you insulating properties - you would have to get this custom made as measurement will be key to avoid the two blinds hindering each other when being open and closed. Personally, considering your layout (study/work desks in bedrooms), I don't think you have any other option but to leave NW windows and make them as big as possible e.g.… 7 10470 Hi, I'm planning to build a new house and wanted to get some feedback on the different window designs for a master bedroom.
