Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 22, 2010 5:11 pm I've heard alot about using double curtain track, with sheers on front and blockout behind. Does anyone have photos or link to see what they look like? I am in a dilemour as to what to do for our holiday/beach house windows. We have a large sliding door, a bifold and normal window all in same room. I was going to put rods up and have eyelet curtains but one of the windows is 3960mm long and I was told too long for the eyelet curtain rod. Two things I need: 1 Some privacy from road and side neighbours (but want to see out) 2 Something to keep heat/cool in and to close at night. My DH said what about verticals, but I don't like them. And not thermally good. Was thinking sunshade blinds (see out but no one see in during day), then curtains but what sort? Do I go double track and do sheers and blockout, or would that not suit our holiday/beach house ie don't want anything formal. Please help!! Any ideas? I've decided to go with sunshadow blinds (see out but not in during day). For privacy/warmth at night I'll do curtains but have been told main window (with double sliding door) is too long for eyelet curtain rod (would need about 5 brackets). So, I'll have to look at different curtains, maybe pinch pleat on normal curtain track. Do you think that would look ok? Want to keep a relaxed feel to our holiday house. Thanks for any help.
