Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 21, 2010 8:47 pm Hi l was wondering if anyone has purchased a lounge or modular from king furniture? If so have you been happy with the lounge? At the moment they have a sale on the Delta II lounge and we were thinking of getting this. Though even with the sale it is a little over our budget. l was wondering if anyone has bargained with them even when it is already on sale? Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 2Jun 21, 2010 8:50 pm My parents had one many many years ago before they got really popular and I remember how awesome it was. So comfy. I wanted to get a lounge from there but I just couldn't find anything that was in our price range that we liked. I was disappointed with their showroom and we ended up going somewhere else. Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 3Jun 21, 2010 8:54 pm l'm trying to toss up whether it would be worth the money or not. They make really nice couches. Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 4Jun 21, 2010 9:10 pm I have no doubt they are worth the money. If you like something there and it's affordable even if it does step slightly over the budget then I recommend getting it. I'm looking at their website now. I think the deals they have now are great and I would probably consider having a look in their store again now we are in the house and now have a better idea of what would match our interior. I do think the deal they have atm on the Delta is great and I think the quality and contemporary design they have will truly ensure they won't date any time soon. Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 5Jun 21, 2010 9:28 pm Oh, I am wondering if by any chance you know the rough cost range of the buffet tables they have? Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 6Jun 21, 2010 9:40 pm The buffet table was really expensive. l think it was over $5000. l know the small round glass dining table was $5500 not including chairs. Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 7Jun 21, 2010 9:45 pm Whoa okay. Makes their lounges seem really good value. Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 9Jun 22, 2010 1:38 pm Isn't the delta always onsale at that price? Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 10Jun 22, 2010 1:43 pm I'm not sure about the price I assume it is. Last year when we were looking for lounges it was on sale so maybe it is as their special piece to attract people? Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 11Jun 22, 2010 2:32 pm We have just yesterday bought the "strata" from King Furniture - they are having a sale starting this weekend (Brisbane, and I guess nationwide...?) - but as we had shown quite strong interest a few weeks prior she let us know it would be going on sale at the end of the month, we got it at the sale price a week earlier - which was 20% off - makes a big difference - so I am sure many (if not all) the other pieces will be going on sale too... I have did some research reading and found nothing but positive things about their furniture, which made the purchase more enticing. Good luck with your purchase whatever you decide! Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 12Jun 22, 2010 3:58 pm Thanks we were tossing up between the strata and delta. What colour did you end up getting and what fabric? I totally love the white couches in leather but is really scared of getting it dirty. Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 13Jun 22, 2010 5:27 pm We surprisingly ended up getting a leather lounge (well I think it's bone, off white colour) and we love it. Black would have been too harsh and well red was out of the question. We didn't want brown. Everyone comments on how lovely it is. We have no kids so it's been easy to keep clean so far. MMMM maybe I should get a King lounge too. We need one for the formal lounge area but were initially interested in recliners to give the whole movie experience. I find them really ugly and chunky. We have seen nice recliners that are 2.5 seater but they are close to $3K or more by memory and we would need at least 2 other separate chairs to go with it. I think you should get the lounge form King unless you really have your doubts. If you love it then get it as you may regret it. Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 14Jun 22, 2010 6:08 pm I think l'll look at a couple more stores because l that is the first store that l have been to. Any suggestions on where else you can get a good couch? Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! I totally love the white couches in leather but is really scared of getting it dirty. We went for the True Touch Leather - in Malamu (off white/cream colour) - it is the one they have in their Brissy showroom at the moment - I cannot wait to get it - delivery is 2nd week in August!!! Just a thought - if you want chairs for a formal living area, but something that is comfortable to watch TV, how about a couple of nice cushy wing chairs with matching footstools? (PS- I agree recliners = ugly) Re: has anyone bought a couch from king furniture? 20Jun 22, 2010 10:48 pm I so want the off white colour though l'm scared that it will start looking dirty after a couple of years. Couches look such much better in white/off white. l think l'll have to go with a darker colour just so I won't stress over guests spilling things. Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!!
