Hi
I have attached a picture of my kitchen/dining area and family area- the colour scheme so far is baltic pine floorboards (family room sitting area), blackwood cabinetry and a grey stone look laminate bench top in kitchen. Walls have been painted in hog bristle 1/2 strength, skirting boards white gloss.
I would love some help with this area as far as choosing colours for paint and flooring and have the following questions...
Question 1- is hog bristle the right colour for this room? Should it maybe be white, given the baltic floors and blackwood cabinetry have a yellow/orange tinge? sometimes i feel the cream of the wall makes the grey bench top look pinkish.
Question 2- if hog bristle is effective, should i paint the windows and french doors the same as the walls (giving seamless effect)
Qu 3- What type of flooring for kitchen and dining area? We are thinking tiles are our best option. We've ruled out the polished concrete look (my husband is a concretor and doesn't think this is an option) If tiles, should both areas be the same and what colours/shape of tile? Ideally, we would have continuous flooring throughout all living zones however feel this option is too expensive.
Thanks in advance for your time and hope to hear from you!
