A nice rug in silver and some sparkly cushions in silver, aubergine and aqua would look really pretty. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: how to accessorise this room - pic attached 4May 28, 2010 2:08 pm Thanks kyton....i love turquoise. Rosypaige........the light fitting has already been changes to energy saver downlights. Probably should get an updated photo but nothing much has changed except for the lights!! Re: how to accessorise this room - pic attached 5May 28, 2010 9:11 pm Well I wondered about three things that struck me straight away. Windows treatments, lighting and your beautifull feature wall. I love that colour plummy/ auburgine. A roman blind that has the plum, brown and cream in it in a stripe or floral will add charactor. Some cushions in simular colourways Some ambient lighting for relaxation, so mabe 2 matching lamps on small occasional tables at each end of the couch. I would think about moving the chairs to the opposite side of the room, freeing up you feature wall. Put a long low sideboard with your TV stereo etc on it. Some picture with silver framing would also look nice. Doesnt have to cost a lot, go to Target or somewhere cheap, until you can get something better. The wee starburst is lost on its own. Look forward to hearing other ideas. I am due to redo my own longe soon. Re: how to accessorise this room - pic attached 6May 28, 2010 9:19 pm Love the feature colour, well done with that! I love your clock, (is it a clock?) but unfortunately proportion wise, it is too small for the feature wall I’m not sure if you have children or how well used this room is, but I see a large cream rug on the floor, and some nice purple and silver cushions on the lounges. You will need to find something else for the feature wall, possibly a large ornate silver mirror? And because I like lighting as ambience in a room I suggest a nice silver floor lamp in the corner of the lounges where the plant is. For your coffee table, keep it simple but elegant. …..happy shopping!!
