Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 19, 2010 8:04 pm Ok as I said, I am having second thoughts about our colours. I would prefer to keep all the tile colours (cos they are the only ones I liked in our price range) but am not sure about my cupboard colour .
If anyone can give me some suggestions, I can pick from laminex or formica and the colours are continued throughout the ensuite/laundry and bathroom. I'd prefer to avoid white as I'm having that in the kitchen. So what do you think?? Re: Having second thoughts about bathroom colours. Help! 2May 19, 2010 9:33 pm I like your tiles and feature ones also-what doesn't cut it for me is the bench-top choice and licorice linea. BUT it's your house and it's what you need to be happy with, don't let anyone tell you otherwise and go with your gut instinct. I was thinking though have you thought about "fudgestream" by Laminex for the cabinets? For the benchtop-I have no idea. I think it'll compliment the feature tiles well. I am no expert in colours so you and others may think differently about it. Re: Having second thoughts about bathroom colours. Help! 4May 19, 2010 9:39 pm Hi p.b I personaly would lighten the cupboards either with a white or a very light brown e.g a fawn colour. dont know if that helps. Even changing both colours would be considered Also would the overheads in the laundry be best kept to the same colour or different?? Re: Having second thoughts about bathroom colours. Help! 8May 19, 2010 11:27 pm Another thing is that we are having a built in study, desk and overheads but can only pick from the formica range or we have to pay more. Any suggestions there? Thanks Dollar. Do you think the feature tile goes with it still?? Re: Having second thoughts about bathroom colours UPDATE 19May 20, 2010 1:52 pm Yes I do. I think they all compliment well. What you have done is the wall tiles are white-you have matched the vanity with this colour. Lustrous Elm really compliments the Taupe floor tile well and I think the feature tile just connects everything together. I think it looks smart. I wish I had of gone with dark tile with dark cupboards and light vanity for the other wet areas. Or the opposite-light tiles and dark vanity and cabinets. We kept floor and wall tiles the same.
