We have just had a leather lounge delivered. It seems to be in quite poor condition - squashed looking, creased, out of shape etc! We have been assured that this looks normal and the leather will go back to its original condition as it settles etc.....We think they are talking a load of crap!!! Does this sound normal to anyone?? Will the "creases" in the leather from the packing smooth out naturally? Will the corners on the cushions go back to shape? SHould we be insisting on a new one!?
This is one of two leather lounges we have had delivered recently. The other lounge from "furniture galore" yes, the cheapo store, looks fantastic and is in immaculate condition. However this one looks like crap! What to do??
Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007.

Post a photo.....I'll be able to have a look at it then.
Sounds like you leather lounge may have been the support for all the other stuff packed on top!
Pour delivery service if that’s so!

Looks like you might have a PREE LOVED lounge!
It more than likely will bounce back after a while of you sitting on it and moulding it back to shape.

the flattening is normal. Take the cushions out and fluff them silly....... then fluff the rest of the couch. You're supposed to do that with ANY new couch that's been delivered and then every couple of weeks for the life of the couch.
The creases... dunno about that one

mick, we’re talking about leather here, a little different to fabric.
Leather doesn’t FLUFF as well as fabric.

OK….fluffing the filling is a necessity to keep your lounge looking good!
I do mine every day! But it also depends on the filling, there are different types

I worked for Freedom Furniture for a while in Warrawong, loved it.
