Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 29, 2010 8:05 pm Hi Michelle I'm hoping you can help me - I've been trying to figure this out for 6 months now and I'm not having any luck. I am trying to find a new lounge suite/seat/something to sit on to fit in the space we have and I just can't seem to find something that is practical and still nice! The room I am talking about is the Family Area: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Where I have marked with blue is where we are hoping to place our tv (that's where all our tv and data points are). The problem I have is that on either side of where the tv will be placed are two entrances/pathways. One to the top will go to the back part of the house and the one at the bottom leads out onto our alfresco area. I have been advised to have at least 1m on either side of the room to allow for pathways to the alfresco and the back part of the house, so given that, I am left with finding a piece of furniture that does not exceed 3m's in length. Most pieces I have looked at are about 3ms - but that only gives you 3 seats. We really would like at least space for 5 seats in that area for tv viewing. My latest thoughts are a 2-seater running in front of the tv and then 2 occasionals at the top of the image, facing onto the alfresco, with the walkway to the back rooms behind them. But I'm worried that will be very cluttered. I was wondering if you or anyone else could advise of different configurations of seating without crowding the space and leaving enough walking space. In hindsight - this is the most impractical room I have ever come across!!!! Thanks very much! We wanted to try keep that 'view' open. What we've found with the modulars we like, we can only fit a 2,corner, 2. So I feel like that might be too tight and 'close' if you have other people sitting there too. I know I'm being fussy - but this is really irritating me now! Do you know how many little coloured shapes I have cut out and they are being moved around the plan Re: Finding Furniture to fit a TV room 4Apr 29, 2010 8:53 pm How about rotating A&E's L shape 90 degrees to the left ?
