Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 13, 2010 5:45 pm Hi all, what a ride I have had on this forum, for the last 3 years, and I love it here! At the end of this month or the beginning of next month I will be starting my new full time job in real estate, yet another challenge in my life, and one I’m really looking forward to. This will mean unfortunately, less time for me to spend in the forum. I will endeavour to do my best at getting in here to answer questions for everyone when possible, they tell me real estate is quite time consuming, so this will be a test. Keep posting questions as most members that come into my forum are really good at giving advice, and I love to see everyone getting involved. I’m not leaving; I’m just gearing up for a very busy time in my life and want you all to know I’ll do my best. I think with your experience with homes and home decor that is should be a piece of cake for you. Because you love it so much it will show in your work and the sales will come easy for you without you even noticing. I wish you the best of luck, you deserve it so much. You know you are addicted to this place though, so good luck with not being oh here as much. Re: My new job 6Apr 13, 2010 7:26 pm Thank you maurita ……I’m hoping that will be how it is. Yes I’m hooked at being in here, that’s the one thing that is going to hurt me, my lack of time spent in H1. Re: My new job 9Apr 13, 2010 7:37 pm Mango Good luck Michelle, maybe you can give your clients decorating advice to help them sell their house for the best money. Could be the extra bit that brings you the properties instead of someone else! That’s what we are hoping, we as in my new boss and I. Thanks girls! Jumping into a new challenge & starting a new career OMG, I couldn't do it With you expertise in decorating, you'll help buyers visualise a house's potential. You'll have the highest sales & sell everything on your books. I can just see it ............ Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: My new job 11Apr 13, 2010 8:01 pm Hey Southies, Thanks for the encouragement. It’s just a slight twist on what I have done for 16 years, so to me not such a big challenge. My boss, said that most people who go into RE find it very hard in the beginning, and I know a girl who I will be working with that has backed that up, but my boss thinks I will slide in to the job with no effort at all. I have spoken to 2 decorators now over the phone who have done what I am doing they say it’s a breeze to do knowing what we know about homes. I think Ray White in Berry, are great to give me this opportunity as a newby to the job they are so nice in the office; I’m looking forward to working with them all. My daughter, also in RE has said if she was to ever leave her boss…..which is highly unlikely as he looks after her very well, she would only work for my boss as he is the best. So I have scooped.
