Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 12, 2010 11:15 am Anyone have a colour sample online of "Elusive White"? That's ironic isn't it?:):) Or a picture. Our builder is recommending it in gloss for architraves, and skirting. Ceiling and cornice will be builders white, and most walls will be Moonriver. Thank you!:) Greg Re: Elusive White? 2Apr 12, 2010 11:20 am Hi Greg…haven’t heard from you for a while!! Elusive White is that a Dulux colour? Our colour lady calls it "Illusive White NH29" and when I queried, she did say that it is the same as "Elusive white" and that it's actually a pure white. Not sure, will have to see. I'd say it's a Taubmans/Bristol colour. My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Elusive White? 5Apr 12, 2010 11:53 am I’ve done some work with clients building with a project builder, we had to use Elusive white….its a Taubmans, I just remembered! It’s a good colour for trims! Or is that more of a paint type thing? Re: Elusive White? 10Apr 12, 2010 7:48 pm You're welcome, Greg, I'm glad that I could finally do something for you Oh, the yellowing - I'm pretty sure you will avoid any of it whatsoever if you stick to acrylic (water based) paint. There is also a thread about it - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=31941&start=0 My builder told me they only use acrylic paint, let's hope it's true! Re: Elusive White? 11Apr 21, 2010 7:14 pm Hi I was at Bristol today and they told me that Elusive White is also known as Crisp White on the most recent Taubmans interior whites colour chart. They said there was a name change due to confusion with another white with a similar name which has a pink under tone ... go figure. michelle Re: Elusive White? 12Apr 21, 2010 7:52 pm Ohh great, another name change, just to throw everyone off…..the paint companies are driving me mad! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Elusive White? 13Apr 21, 2010 8:26 pm Had a problem with selecting from the Taubmans/Bristol builder's standard range - which is quite old. I always liked something from the new range more ... Finally I got used to the old palette - so much so that I now like almost all of the soft colours (even cold ones )! I think all the colours from the pic are from the old range, so the Elusive/Illusive should be a pure white. My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ...
