Yes I will be getting them to replace the poll!!!! ![]() I had my sparky come yesterday; I left him the key to my house, and went to work. When I got home the only sign of him being here was the outdoor power point….put in exactly the spot I asked for it, and the Sensor light was up where I asked it to be. The key was left in the letter box, just like I asked him, and he cleaned up any mess he’d made….you would NOT have known he had been there!!!! 10 points for my electrician…… the only one with a B%$^ brain!!!!! ![]() Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: MY NEW AWNING - NEARLY THERE! 43Nov 01, 2007 7:02 pm Oh Michelle, that's awful!!! ![]() ![]() They have to replace it, no doubt about it. I feel a bit sorry for them, although I must say; they had NO problems coming forward to do the replacement! Having asked the BOY twice about the poll, his response was, ”NO that was there when I got there” yeah right! Anyway all is good, just waiting for the guys to do the work. ![]() Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: MY NEW AWNING - NEARLY THERE! 55Nov 07, 2007 8:34 pm Michelle there is a sandstone specialist on the corner of Parramatta Rd and James Ruse Drive - I'll try and find the name. Dis you try Shoalhaven Brick & Tile? They do sandstone boulders so perhaps flagging.
The heat problem with Laserlite for your awning won't be a problem if you use good Laserlite. The cheaper 'Laserlite 2000' lets in light AND heat and is what most people use. They also make two better and naturally more exspensive lines which let in light but NOT heat. I used 'Laserlite Apollo' in 'Platinum' finish on my back roof in between the colorbond. The platinum finish is very similar to the underside of the colorbond. Re: MY NEW AWNING - NEARLY THERE! 56Nov 07, 2007 8:47 pm Luke….they used something other than Laserlite……, its great, no heat at all.
Very happy with the outcome! I’ve decided since the Flagstone is not sourced locally, to concrete the old garden spaces with some Oxide mixed through it, to give a colour variance. I’m not one for waiting ages to get a project completed. Thanks so much for the info on the flagstone, but its cool, will do something else! This town need a shot gun at times. C&M on the highway had some in stock for ages, and offered to sell it to me cheaper. But having second thoughts about placing chair legs strategically placed on stones so they sit properly! Could end up a bit tricky on certain nights with lots of booze flowing!!!
