Hi Michelle,
I have been going through the website and you definitely seem to be the person who has the most knowledge on colours etc for exteriors.
So this is my question.
We live in North Queensland, Mackay to be specific. My partner and I have purchased an approximately 1980's fibro home that is close to the beach. We plan on renovating the entire house, we got it on the cheap.
When we bought it we knew we would have to get the roof replaced at some point. It has come to that time (this will be the start of our renovations). As it is sunny 90% of the time in Mackay we are going to go for a light Dune colour.
Our issue is that we need to decide on the rest of the exterior house colours before we get the roof replaced. We are both 26 years and are renovating to either sell or keep as a rental property at a later date. The next step of our renovation is getting the house rendered and the windows replaced so a main exterior wall colour and window trim colour is what we are looking for. My partner is hoping that the colours chosen will suit stained wood in the decking and fencing around the property the we renovate at a later date.
We are also hoping to use Dulux or Nippon paints as they are the most easily accessible paint brands in Mackay.
Do you have any colours schemes that you would recommend, the only thing that we have definitely decided on is Dune Colorbond roof.
We like colour along cream and brown range but are not a fan of creams or browns that too yellow based.
I apologise if you have already answered this questions in the forum somewhere I have been looking for a while but have not found anything. Below is a picture of the house, its currently a pale yellow and with brown red trim

I really like this colour scheme

but they are all haymes colours (exterior - white on white, garage - coal mine, wall and trim - mojave) but there are no Haymes paint stockist in Mackay and I don't know what the equivalent would be in Dulux or Nippon.
Thank you for your help,
Mel Henry
