Gr8 choosing red as your accent colour! We took a while to choose the shelving units for the family area because I didn't know what I wanted! These were bought from a local furniture shop here in Echuca. They are flat pack but they were already assembled, hooray! This shop only sells off the floor so what you see in the shop is what you take home. I was a bit worried about buying flat pack furniture, have had some experience and the quality has not been good but the quality is soooo much better with these. They are soooo heavy, not easy to move at all. I love them. Just have to find a few more bits and pieces to make the other one look as nice as the first one! take2 I love the red,but how often do you find yourself just looking at that print you could easily get lost it in great find. Cheers Lou Thanks Lou, I know exactly what you mean about that print. It is called 'Journies Through Time' - perfect name for it! Re: I've been decorating! The owner was retiring and still ordered the setting for us with a $350 discount. He then ordered us two extra chairs when we realised how nice they were, with another discount of $60 per chair! They are Newmarket red chairs. Here is a web link: http://www.jdfurniture.com.au/furniture ... %2F&page=3 Good luck! Re: I've been decorating! Why, because we own one that looks almost identical, the only thing different to ours is that where you have that little lip on top, ours is around 90mm high and has a mirror attached to it. We used to put candles on it as the reflection added something. Question: How does the look of a antique sideboard fit in with a modern contemporary house? What place does it have? I'm trying to get my wife to leave ours in the basement. She has other ideas. Re: I've been decorating! I'm trying to get my wife to leave ours in the basement. She has other ideas. A feature antique piece can look fabulous in a modern setting. I'm hoping to use a few antique or ethnic pieces in our house, once I begin furnishing and decorating in earnest. Hopefully, it'll all work out perfectly if I can find just the right things.
