Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 19, 2010 11:23 pm Hi Michelle and anyone else who can help I'm probably having a stress attack about nothing .... BUT ... we just realised today ... yes, today, that we've picked Monument for our Front Door We did our colour selection a year ago and we wanted the front and garage doors to match...picked garage first and then automatically (without any thought) picked the same for the front door. Conversation today: Hubby: What colour is our front door again? Me: Monument Hubby: Oh, so our front door is black??? Me: Yeah.................oh, crap So what to do???? Leave it or change it? I think a black door gives the house a bad vibe....I dunno I've tried doing a search to look for a similar facade but no luck. Garage/Roof/Fascia/Gutter - Monument Downpipe - Paperbark Bricks - Lexington Gold Sorry, don't have a separate pic for front elevation Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks.......Pebbles Re: Front Door Problem...what to do? 2Mar 20, 2010 5:54 am I actually like a full gloss black door. Not sure about what vibes their supposed to give out, but in the right house they look very flash. I think your bricks will take the Monument well. It looks like you have a lovely big front veranda. Use that to complement your black door, you can use some nice ceramic pots with cordylines in them as the feature to your entry. Do you feel your louvre sidelite security mesh is safe? I was thinking no window at all so no one can see if I'm near the front door, shadows… 2 735 2 5858 |
