Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 16, 2010 10:48 pm Hello Everyone We would love some ideas for our small central walk through lounge/dining room that we just do not know what to do with next. With built in fireplace in the middle of the room and lovely high pressed metal ceilings the bones are really good but unlike a lot of homes built in the 1920's our little castle is on the small side. We have three children and feeling a little cramped so we plan to extend our dining room side of the room out by 1.4metres. Luckily we can source pressed tin to match the existing ceiling but since the room will no longer be symmetrically balanced either side of the fireplace, we are struggling to find a lighting solution, we currently have two five arm chandeliers. We like more traditional spaces and plan to restore some of the period details that were ripped out of our old house sometime in the early 70's. We would like some help with colour scheme also as this is a central room with an open hallway at one end and a sunken kitchen off to one side at the opposite end. Please help as we are at a stand still Re: Combined Dining/Lounge help needed. 3Mar 17, 2010 6:52 am Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com First time building 2 storey home in NSW.
