Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 15, 2010 10:20 am Hi all
I have been lurking around for sometime but have never posted before, I am about to embark on building a house, I will be an owner builder and I need to lodge my plans by the the end of the week. So I thought it was a good time to join, this is a fabulous forum. I really need some help finalising my outdoor colours. I have attached the best photos of the house I have, the front entry needs to be changed but will be similar. I am thinking of using Dune Render, Surfmist Roof, fascia and gutters and some stacked stone and jasper (still not sure of where the stacked stone and jasper will be) but I am thinking stacked stone on the entry pillar and jasper on the parapet wall. I am thinking of having silver windows. I am wanting some advice on this scheme. I am concerned there will be too much contrast between the roof and the render. http://img535.imageshack.us/i/house1.pdf/ Thanks In Advance Sez G Re: First Post Outdoor Colours Need Help Urgently 2Mar 15, 2010 10:49 am Hi SezG. I don't think your picture attached properly. i think the combination of your colours sounds lovely, another member here used similar colours. but it would be good to see exactly where on your house you are looking at putting the jasper and sandstone. also i personally would probably make at least the gutters if not the fascia also, surfmist to match the roof, but thats not to say it won't look good in dune also, just haven't yet seen a gutter/dascia in a darker colour than the roof itself. look forward to a pic. Its easier to work with if its up on the screen. http://img535.imageshack.us/i/house1.pdf/ Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: First Post Outdoor Colours Need Help Urgently 5Mar 16, 2010 1:58 pm Hi Michelle I hope this is better still learning all of these new skills. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/7365/house1.pdf Re: First Post Outdoor Colours Need Help Urgently 6Mar 16, 2010 2:18 pm Hi Sez, your facade looks really nice! I think your colours will go beautifully, i like the idea of the stone on the portico/entry bit, jasper on the parapet wall and then i think you need some jasper on the other hand side too so maybe the garage doors could be jasper too? Re: First Post Outdoor Colours Need Help Urgently 7Mar 16, 2010 6:16 pm No…I can’t load that pic, as I don’t see how to get it from your provider. Interesting levels you have at the front of your home, I quite like that. I like everything you said above, but perhaps look at a Dune roof? This way your feature colours will stand out more.
