Hi all,
Long time lurker but first time poster
After putting in a new kitchen and flooring I'm ready to start painting the interior of the house. I'm fine with the construction side of things but choosing colours and so on isn't a strong point of mine !! After finally deciding on the colours now I have the problem of deciding which walls I should paint as the feature walls.
Is there a general rule of thumb for feature walls, like should ~20% of all walls be feature walls, should the feature walls all face the same direction, can the feature walls have doors in them etc...
I've been walking around the house trying to decide which walls to do as feature walls keeping in mind the sunny and dark spots of the house and so on but I just can't decide
I'll be painting the whole house with the same two colours (is this a good idea) which are Dulux 'Buff-It for the walls/architraves, with Buff-It half for the doors, and 'Sea-Elephant' for the feature walls.
I'd like to do feature walls in the bedrooms as well as the lounge, family rooms and hallway.
If it helps any I can scan a copy of the house plans and upload them !!
Thanks
J
