Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 12, 2010 11:51 am Good morning We will be shortly moving to our property which has been rented out until now and I need advice updating the 70s interior. The house currently has a blue kitchen with a light coloured floor tile (currently do not have a picture of the tile) - photo of the kitchen is attached together with the lounge area. Will this work with the blue kitchen or should I bite the bullet and paint the kitchen white using laminate paint. The lovely pink carpet will be replaced with a mushroom or latte coloured carpet. We do not want to spend too much money on the property as it will be a rental again in around 2 years following our new build. Duck egg blue and chocolate brown is one of my favourite colour combinations. I think that shade of blue would do very well with neutrals and white, it's a little Hamptons/French country style. And paint those pelmets glossy white. Re: Help - Decorating Advice Required 5Mar 14, 2010 7:56 pm mishb I don't mind the blue personally, it's a nice shade.
