I saw one in freedom on the weekend (but wrong colours shade) that has a silver base with II legs (not on the website). What I am after is a silver base with a white shade and nothing to pricey (read: i am a tight a** and don't think it's worth spending too much on them!). Can anyone point me in directions of a good lamp place (I guess on line preferably or in Melbourne)? If you want cheap and basic, have you looked at Target (or Target Home for a bigger range)....? I bought lamps from them when we were selling our house and I didn't want to spend a fortune but needed to update a few things. Re: lamp help 6Mar 06, 2010 4:19 am Sounds cheap I know but K-Mart has a few silver base touch lamps (very modern looking, unlike the old school ones of gold with floral shades) with white shades that are fairly cheap (i think i paid 15 or 20 for mine) but still look nice.
