I didn't want to highjack daisy's thread...
We are about to repaint our 50's weatherboard, the board colour atm is yellow, the trim and the (concrete tile) roof is red. (Yes, it looks as bad as it sounds).
Ideally, we will be painting the boards a soft off-white, the trim white and replacing the roof with pale Colorbond. I like this look.
The roof replacement is quite a way off, so the question is, do we repaint only the boards now and leave all the trim and the roof red for now, or have the boards and the trim painted and leave only the roof red? There is also a pergola, carport and garage painted mostly red, I am not sure what to do with it if we paint everything but the roof.
I know we could have the roof painted, but I'm not sure I want to do this if we will be replacing it within 5 years or so.
I don't really want to post a photo, I'm a bit funny with posting an identifiable photo of the outside of my house.
Any thoughts, advice welcome, or combos I haven't thought of.
