Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 02, 2010 8:25 pm Hi, Am desperate for help choosing the colour for my 1950s weatherboard house. The roof is Colorbond Deep Ocean, as are the gutters and downpipes. So I really need complimentary colours. I was thinking Dulux Blind date for w/boards; Dulux Antique white for windows, frames, trim, facias, baseboards & eaves. Deep Ocean (blue roof colour) really needs to be tied in. Perhaps my front door? Door frame? I plan to tie the blue into my back verandah and front fence as it is already done (the fancy pickets). Should my facias be blue too? Is the Antique white too light? And is antique white ok for baseboards, or should the baseboards be the weatherboard colour? I am really struggling with my colour choices . Would appreciate any advice or photos. Thanks in advance! Jackie Re: Help needed for ext paint colours! 3Mar 04, 2010 7:29 am Sorry jackie75, I’ve been really busy. I really appreciate your advice. I hadn't considered painting the entire fence one colour (deep ocean). It will certainly make it an easier paint job!! Thanks again Jackie Re: Help needed for ext paint colours! 8Mar 21, 2010 8:23 am Sorry Jackie, Fence - Deep Ocean Frame - Blind Date – this being the frame of the fence…..not the pickets….. So the fence is 2 colours Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 3618 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 14052 Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 3993 |
