Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Feb 23, 2010 3:48 pm I am madly trying to create a fabulous nursery for first baby, due in July. Would love to see what other people have done for inspiration! Photos would be great. We are not finding out the gender of the baby, so particulary interested in gender neutral schemes. The room is currently neutral - cream - beige carpet, and walls in "resene half tea". This can be changed but its not offensive so may provide an ok backdrop for fabulous accessories? Re: Would love to see your Baby Nurseries! 2Feb 23, 2010 3:49 pm Well….that won’t be coming from me! Anyone else? I can take some pics although its pretty basic as Id rather spend my energy fixing up the actual baby nursery once our house is done. We havent found out the gender either, and picked the kidsline zanzibar theme for the room. We bought the curtain, bed spread, lamp, wall decals, musical thingie, nappy stacker.... a whole heap of stuff. Some of it wont be used now (i.e. wall decals and wall hangings etc) In the new home, the room will be big enough so it doesnt look "over done" also, if you know what I mean? Hubby then quickly made up some shelving for me, as the room we've set up is tiny (so tiny, the carpet guy thought we were looking to buy a rug rather than actually gt the room carpeted! ) And there's no room for a chest of draws or anything. Kidsline have some wonderful themes, so I suggest you start their for the time being Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Did you paint that yourself? Re: Would love to see your Baby Nurseries! 13Feb 24, 2010 12:48 pm Here are some pics of my DD's old nursery. We didnt know if she was a boy or girl so we went with bright. When I was pregnant I read somewhere that the blue was calming, so I put it on the ceiling for bub to look at while ****** down, and green was good for learning, so I put it on the walls for when bub was awake. I was lucky enough to find some Playgro accesories that matched the colours perfectly. This might be a bit too bright for some peoples tastes but we loved it and so did the new owners of our house Best of luck for bub. I'm trying to restrain myself as know that as soon as we find out the gender I am going to want to decorate again - especially if its a girl - so many pretty girly things out things! Amsmeq - where was your lovely balloons and ladybug decal from? I would love a tree, but think my DIY talents don't extend that far, particularly painting it myself! Thanks mate. Yeah good points!
