Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: White on White by dulux 7Feb 08, 2010 6:28 pm Sure, here you go: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ As you can see, I have grey tiles on the floor and also charcoal carpet in the bedrooms. Our couch is red, the kitchen is Laminex Charcoal (same as the cupboard on the photo), dining table is glass and aluminium, white aluminium venetians on windows. I can't see any blue in the paint at all. But it is probably true that if you like warm colours, you won't like White on White. Re: White on White by dulux 8Feb 08, 2010 6:51 pm I love stark cold, white, modern and minimalistic looking rooms but I went in a home painted white on white and it was a very ice 'blue' colour. Now Im confused as to which white I will use as I wan pure bright white, but not with a blue tone. DA approved ![]() Waiting on a few more Builder's quotes. Yes I have considered lexicon, infact that was my next colour and I got it from reading Michelles advice (could have been to you). Do you have a thread with pics?? There will be no warm coluors in my house either ![]() DA approved ![]() Waiting on a few more Builder's quotes. Re: White on White by dulux 12Feb 09, 2010 5:36 pm I considered Lexicon but am still confused.... My bathrooms will be quite cool i.e white gloss tiles for the walls and grey for the floor. The kitchen will also be pure white. Everything else I am ok with - I will have floorboards downstairs and dark grey carpet upstairs. My bed is timber, couch is taupe fabric from King furniture. I still have to buy a dining table, dining chairs and tv unit.... perhaps I will just avoid buying white for these. Also am thinking of using roller blinds for windows so perhaps of instead of doing these in white I will use a light grey/ taupe color. Re: White on White by dulux 13Feb 10, 2010 11:38 am Michelle or anyone...can you explain to me what happens to the paint if it is half or quarter? I want to use Lexicon, but what changes it if it is half/quarter/full? Does it get brighter/whiter or greyer? DA approved ![]() Waiting on a few more Builder's quotes. I don't completely trust how these colours come up on the monitor, as White on White is not blue on my walls ![]() I had a thread some time ago but all my photos got jumbled when I deleted some of them on Photobucket. Also, the shelf on my photo above is Laminex Polar White, it's pure white and the wall goes with it nicely. Oh wow thanks heaps!! I cant wait to get some sample pots and see how it looks..... Regarding the white on white colour. I actually went in a home that was recently painted the colour and ti definately has a blue tinge. It is quote a small area and could be the light, who knows. I see no reason to take this colour up more than it is, it’s already very light. ![]() Internal and External - Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide Re: White on White by dulux 18Feb 10, 2010 9:45 pm ![]() ![]() Michelle or anyone...can you explain to me what happens to the paint if it is half or quarter? I may go 'steal' a room downstairs in the garage and paint it with the lexicon colours at my (mums) house hehe. Then I will get a perfect idea of how it will look. Re: White on White by dulux 19Feb 10, 2010 10:43 pm We used White on white pretty much throughout our home but also included some coloured feature walls. Our painter was really worried that we wouldn't like it but we love it and definitely don't see any blue in it at all. We even have it on skirtings and doors on a blue wall and it just looks very white. I can't attach pictures because my 'files are too large' but if you want to pm me I should be able to email them to you - especially if you want to see the paint alongside other colours or with timber floors. ![]() I'm seeking recommendations of perhaps a tan yellow to match with terracotta tiles and Dulux Hog bristle that is used in rest of house.. looking at Beaten Track but really… 0 7418 2 19834 thanks. the above one is white Mat tiles and have gripness so going for this Mat tiles for both indoor and outdoor.
