Thankyou! But there's a few that already have them at home... try doing a search for hawygl's thread, she has a gorgeous version in a deep brown colour. Ours will be red Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 3Jan 30, 2010 10:28 pm ah yes, the melbourne range! we bought two, a 2 seat and a 3 seat - in Kangaroo I think??? It is amazing, soooo comfortable, we particularly went with this suite because it was child resistant (so we didn;'t pay the extra cost to scotchguard - very expensive!) and it is large enough to sleep on (with a pillow). I was sooo stressed about the colour I'd ordered, I thought it would look crap, but thank god when it arrived, I was in love in seconds... love it every day. One of my fav purchases here. Really comfortable, very good looking, holds its shape despite it's regular use etc. Wide arms hold drinks, plates no probs. We got them on sale, I dont' know if they are good value for money unless on sale, so I won't comment on that. I'm not sure why your asking, so not sure if I can tell you anything else. Let me know... are you thinking of buying? Plush told me it was their highest selling sofa. check out pics of mine on my blog: http://get-me-outa-here.blogspot.com/20 ... lowly.html and http://get-me-outa-here.blogspot.com/2009/07/sofas.html The only con is they are VERY heavy, so sweeping under them is a strain for DH to lift... Yep we're thinking of getting it in the black leather - a 3 seater and 2 seater. Do you mind me asking how much it was for you? Just seeing if they are giving us a good price or not as they are currently on sale. Sale ends tomorrow so need to make up my mind. annietom: your one looks gorgeous and comfy! I would have preferred a fabric one i think but with little kids and more on the way leather seems a better choice. Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 6Jan 30, 2010 11:34 pm mate the ottomans are like the bargain of the century - you can pick ANY designer fabric, I reckon that alone is worth the $100! you can see why we got two, and now that we've had them a few months now, I can assure you they are top quality. He would also do a different fabric on the lid to the base if you wanted etc... so just a great buy if you are into personalising your rooms... as for our sofas, we paid $2,600 Plus delivery for both. They wanted like $600 for ONE ottoman! bugga that! go to laverton! A thankful person is a happy person. Ours is actually a black leather, we were going to go a dark chocolate brown I think it was called society - but in certain light it wasn't dark enough so we went black. The only issue I have is keeping it from showing the dust, but a quick wipe down and it is good as new. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r72/Mias_Mummy/P8222682.jpg Still tryng to find the perfect cushions to match the scatter cushions/ottoman too My karma ran over your dogma Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 8Feb 11, 2010 1:39 pm Hi I hope its not too late of a response I haven't been on this forum for a while, but came back for a browse and noticed your post. I just had delivered this morning a 2+3 seaters Melbourne sofas from Plush. They are a dark chocolate brown, just checked the paper work colour is "society brown". They were in the clearance section originally price $4,399 to $3,499 and DH bargained them down to $2,900 and we paid an extra $80 for delivery. Very happy with them so far sent a pic to DH he couldn't belive it was our loungeroom. We had some old navy blue fabric ones that had seen better days. haywgl Love your ottoman, was that from Plush too? Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 9Feb 11, 2010 2:13 pm Thanks everyone! As we were on a tight budget I was umming and ahhing about the couches and was looking on eBay and noticed that one of the couches I'd put on watch looked very familiar (I had put it a week before on watch). Then I looked at the ad and realised it was from Plush (didn't mention it was the Melbourne but it was). The auction finished for $2500 (no-one bought it). So my DH rang up the lady and turned out she was in the same suburb and he went and had a look and got them for 2250. They were in excellent as new condition. And as a bonus there was 2 of the ottomons too. So I'm really pleased with it. We have them now and they are great! Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 10Feb 11, 2010 2:43 pm That is great news turando - meant to be Thanks mrsrusty - yep it is form Plush too, and we are actually selling it DH wanted a coffee table but I talked him into the ottoman instead, but we have found it isn't practical for the area as we often sit there with a hot drink watching things and there is no where to put the drinks. My karma ran over your dogma Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 11Feb 11, 2010 9:30 pm Wow, turando, what a great bargain and was meant to be, being in the same suburb and everything. haywgl, shame about selling it, it looks so pretty I really like them (some have storage!) but my DH questioned the practicality of it too . We have two young boys (aged one and three) so was wanting to avoid a coffee table at the moment due to possible accidents. We have the 2+3 seater arranged in an "L" so we have quiet a large corner spot for our side table that we week our things on. Anyway, love the couches they are soooo comfy glad you got some turando. Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 12Feb 11, 2010 9:53 pm haywgl ....... we are actually selling it DH wanted a coffee table but I talked him into the ottoman instead, but we have found it isn't practical for the area as we often sit there with a hot drink watching things and there is no where to put the drinks. Oh no bel , you simply can't get rid of your stunning ottoman !!! Can't you just set a tray on it, when you're having that coffee?? at http://www.aboutstyle.com.au/sub/evasolo/E567610.htm or something like this or from http://www.getprice.com.au/Alessi-Stainless-Steel-Round-Tray-with-Handles-Gpnc_252--42886938.htm or oval Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 13Feb 11, 2010 10:19 pm I know right!! I even tried to find somewhere else in the house for it - if it was rectangel there would be heaps of places!! We had it listed on ebay - but I set the starting price at $350 and I had 11 watchers but no bids - I paid $700 for it and its in great condition....might relist it later in the week.... We also had alot of problems trying to find a basic rug to match it because the print was so interesting....we are going to get some small bongo type ottomans made up in the same fabric though for the space at the side of the lounge as I just adore the print too My karma ran over your dogma Re: melbourne lounge from plush furniture? 15Feb 12, 2010 7:41 pm When we were in Plush, I noticed that some of the ottomans had a clear looking coffee table over the top. Would something like that suit? I think the ottoman wants to stay, if not bids on ebay. First time building 2 storey home in NSW. Below Current plan have separate balcony.
