Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 05, 2010 1:45 pm We would like to put a large print on our feature wall in the living room. I like the nice wide landscape pictures (http://www.canvasartshop.com.au/prod5.a ... rod_anchor) something random like that, not that one but as an example. Would that suit? Really need some idea's. Pics below, we have gone with green cushions etc to contrast the brown and would like to know what would fit in well up on the wall. I suck at this kind of thing. Pictures below. Thanks! Excuse the mess, we cant keep up. Bob get off the lounge! Why don't you do what i have suggested to many people on here and that is make your own Fabric Wall Art. The best thing is you can get fabric samples and put them up on your walls before you make a decision, it will be much cheaper for you, so hubby will love you for that too. You can get fabric from places like Spotlight or you can even find some one off pieces of fabric at Life Line etc and that way you are doing your bit for the environment. The first ever piece of wall art that i did was made with a piece of fabric that i got from Life Line and it was in perfect condition too. Something that i had never seen before and will never see again either. I will try to find a picture of it to show you how gorgeous it was. I have photoshopped some fabric onto your picture for you to get an idea of how different things can look on your wall before you make a final decision. I hope this helps you and the main thing is have fun choosing your Artwork. I will post the pictures for you in a minute but i just have to put them on photobucket first. Will be back in a few minutes. Re: Another help me pick out a print thread 11Jan 05, 2010 3:29 pm thanks maurita thats probably a good idea. the pricing on those pics is getting a bit high for the size we want. look forward to seeing what you come up with. Re: Another help me pick out a print thread 12Jan 05, 2010 3:33 pm I am sorry i just posted the pictures and the post has not come up, i will try again, not sure what i did wrong. Re: Another help me pick out a print thread 13Jan 05, 2010 3:38 pm As i said in my missing post, i think green is a great colour for you to accent. We moved from Oakey to Hervey Bay 18 months ago and i had chocolate and lots of green inside my home to compensate for the lack of green outside. I am sure Ipswich is much the same as Toowoomba etc lately. Re: Another help me pick out a print thread 16Jan 05, 2010 5:26 pm Hi Billdsl, Just make sure that you buy good quality fabric, it does not have to be expensive but a good thick/heavy cotton fabric is the best because the staples will only rip/tear the lighter weight fabrics. Thanks so much Gweluphome for your lovely words. Oh and here is a picture of the first ever piece i made, it was supposed to be for my house but i ended up selling it. Ooops i can not get it to upload, i will have to try again later Re: Another help me pick out a print thread 17Jan 06, 2010 11:45 am Nice Maurita!!!! I’m yet to play with that program you have. I will try another picture to see if it works. So here is another picture that i have been playing around with. This is of my own home, we have done it up on the inside but this is not the picture i have on the wall, this is just an edited photo. What do you think? This wall looks a bit mushroomy in colour in this shot but it was painted as a feature wall in China White Double Strenght and the rest of the walls in the house are China White half strength.
