Thanks about to build our first home! Re: paint colours for the house using Solver paints 2Jan 03, 2010 6:30 pm Hello! We just painted a couple of rooms over Christmas. Bought the gyprock sealer, ceiling paint and one of the wall colours from Solver. I must say, that we weren't too impressed with their quality (we also used Taubmans and Nippon, they had a much better coverage.) I had to put 4 coats of their ceiling paint (as well as a coat of the white gyprock sealer) around the cornices before it covered properly. . . stuff that! I'll just pay a bit more for the paint next time and save some time on doing extra coats! Sorry. . . this isn't what you asked! haha. Hopefully it's your builder using the paint, not you, then they can do the extra coats. I used Solver's "Tulip White" in the walk-in-robe. At first it looked very pink, but I put up a feature wall of Taubmans "Violet Stone" and it ended up looking more like a mushroom colour. I expected it to be an off-white kind of colour, but it turned out to be really quite deep. I'd advise to definitely buy sample pots of your shortlisted colours and try them out before you decide, as I didn't! (oops). Re: paint colours for the house using Solver paints 3Jan 03, 2010 11:52 pm hi jodge thanks for the heads up. Luckily its the painter that supplies all the paint. Just need to choose the colour about to build our first home! Re: paint colours for the house using Solver paints 5Mar 22, 2010 3:38 pm WallyWombat, How did you go with painting? Jodge - Seriously?
