Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 03, 2010 11:15 am Just to give you an idea, we have this very nice Cal Bung, and we are looking at colour schemes at the moment to spruce the place up. It's previous owner must have got a good deal on crap colours, because the walls are this very cold grey-white and the trim around the house is an ugly grey-blue. We are looking at something warmer, something more inviting. So after spending a bit of time, we picked up some sample pots at Bunnings. After a little advice about the whites, and then trim colours if at all possible. All colours are from the current Dulux range. The main white segments left to right are "Off White", "White Opal" and "Berkshire White" The colours we really like are "Energy Peak", "Silent Sage" and "Mexican Standoff" We have these fairly 'complex' architraves, which we like. and plan on using these 3 colours in the 3 bedrooms to trim the architraves. Currently leaning towards the White Opal for the walls. Not sure what to do for the ceiling in this house. For some reason my mind just thinks a full gloss Vivid White. And then the what about the kickboards and door trimings? So yeah... thoughts on with these colours, what do to for the roof colour, and then kickboards and door trims. Any opinions on the colours also Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Colour Selections 4Jan 03, 2010 7:03 pm I like the white in the middle Im not daring enough to comment on the other colours... I can't help really. I don't do white.... Re: Colour Selections 7Jan 06, 2010 11:35 am I’m happy with the White Opal, if your bungalow is as dark as most of them, this should help to warm it up. It’s also a good colour to put with your feature colours. Ceilings, doors and trims…..all the same, White Opal. If that scares you….ceiling white, trims White Opal. Last time I did painting (as a 12 year old??) it was high gloss enamel trims, flat walls, semi-gloss/high gloss ceilings. Re: Colour Selections 9Jan 06, 2010 2:01 pm Sorry, yes full gloss for all the wood work and doors, ceiling flat for the ceiling and semi gloss for the walls. Have you fully drawn down the loan? 5 11893 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls.
