Double roller blinds

If anyone can recommend a company in Melbourne who does double roller blinds (such as this one by Designed Blinds Dual system: http://www.dbablinds.com.au/index.asp?pgid=17) I'd be very grateful. I will call them and ask for a measure and quote but why not give smaller companies a go as well. Thanks.

They have a good warranty, well made and reputable company.

They may be a little bit more expensive, but their service is good, and to my knowledge, they pretty much stand by their products.

I can only go from my local blind guy, who predominantly deals with Luxaflex, he is great!

I guess it will depend on the dealer and well they are prepared to look after you.

I put these blinds in a small resort a couple of years ago, 9 windows…..against my wishes, as I don’t see them a rental user friendly. But they wanted them; I haven’t had anything bad come back to me about the blinds from the resort people.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use Luxaflex.

let us know how you get on. I'm a couple of months away from getting quotes but am hoping for a motorised system though.

If you have the chance to ask them about motorised pricing I'd love to hear what they say.

I'm meeting a person who is an agent for Luxaflex, Designed Blinds, Helioscreen and Silent Gliss on Friday. Will let you know prices and I will ask for a motorised version price as well, pasey25.

We've had a measure done, choices, choices, choices :shock:

I will have to go to the show room next week to look at numerous details so they will be able to give me a quote after that.

I am getting quotes from In Vogue Blinds on swan street richmond..they have a pretty good selection..you can try them..if you do ask for Rochelle..she is very helpful.....pretty sure they have the dual blinds you are after if not they can always order it....we are going for rollers and romans throughout and curtains for the retreat...

Thanks, ladyice. I am looking for another quote but Richmond might be a bit far for me...

Went to Kresta today as I know they would be cheaper but they didn't have a block-out fabric in any sort of colour I wanted (which would be grey

) so I will have to think of something else. Am also thinking of aluminium venetians as I was happy with them in our old house but who wants to clean them...

pasey, I've received my quote in the mail today, haven't spoken to the lady re. motorised pricing but I can if you want - but note that "manual" version is just under 9k for our 16 windows :shock:

. I think I'll be going for aluminium venetians.

mek, I budgeted about 50% more than that for my place for probably a similar number of windows.

If its not too much trouble to ask it would be very helpful to me.

pasey, I've asked: top of the range motorisation is around $600 per window. Designed Blinds motorisation is $300 per window. That's on top of the price of the blinds.

Sorry pasey, I took awhile... The difference between the $600 and $300 motorisation is not much in terms of quality, as the blinds lady said to me. Different way to capture more of the market.

If you're in Melbourne, I highly recommend the shop I am dealing with, very accomodating.
