Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: need a little help with external colours 2Dec 10, 2009 7:45 pm Well I always thought dune looked quite grey, but it doesnt. I really wanted surfmist, dune and a dark grey colour but the dune doesnt tie in. I got sample pots and yes it confirmed that dune is too brown! Perhaps you should go and get some sample pots and paint up some boards. I left my sample boards at work I was going to take photos and post them up to see what people thought but I got busy, then forgot to bring them home so I could do them in the morning Anyway, I have both monument and dune here so I will endeavour to paint a board up with those two colours on it for you so you can have a look what they look like in real life. I dont have woodland grey unfortunately so if you think that would look better, you might have to get the sample pots... I was charged $8 each for them (dulux) and you get HEAPS too. It’s a fantastic colour, and even if it does have a slight hint of grey in it, then that’s good for you. You need all your colours to flow to get the look you are trying to achieve. All your colours at the front are in the black/grey scale, so Dune is your best option. PLUS it’s a great colour! PS…stick with the Woodland Grey roof, for the heat reasons. What have you decided to do with the insert over the portico area? I think you should. I’d paint it Woodland Grey, that way it has Dune around it to break the colours, but still works in with the roof line.
