Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Nov 24, 2009 11:51 am Hi all, Can anyone suggest what shade of colour should be used on walls when using a very light beige/grey glossy floor tile? We will have white skirting boards to break it up but not sure whether to try and match the colour exactly, go lighter or darker or choose a different hue altogether? Are there any design rules to follow? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Re: Should wall paint colour match floor colour??? Any tips? 2Nov 24, 2009 5:07 pm I would say just about any colour will go with your floor tile. You need to use a depth of colour you are happy with, some like darker, some like lighter. Get some sample pots of colours you like, paint them up on boards and put the colours with your tiles. You’ll soon see which ones you don’t want.
