I've eaten waaay too much again, but had a really good time, and the house survived after having 10 people for lunch and 10 extras for a late arvo get together! Thankfully, not too much to clean up at all! Everyone's decorations look absolutely lovely Looking at these pics has given me some great ideas and inspiration. Thanks so much for sharing, everyone. I'm hosting Christmas this year and have been taking advantage of the post Christmas sales to buy my decorations. Gotta love 50% off! Has anyone come across any good websites with super dooper decoration bargains, that they'd like to mention? Please, pretty please! I LOVE stormy's apothecary jars and have been googling like a mad woman, trying to find where I can buy one, to no avail. Stormy or anyone else, can you please steer me in the right direction? Thanks once again and Happy New Year to you all!! Matilda Re: Xmas decorations…..again! 155Jan 03, 2010 12:19 pm I love those big jars too. I think some people have bought theirs in target. i'm kicking myself as we had a lovely big one that i gave away when we moved here 2 years ago. it had ALWAYS been stuck at the back of the cupboard because i didn't know what to do with it. Now in the new house I have plenty of places i could display it. Our old Christmas tree goes into the bin tomorrow. Didn't find one in the post christmas sales so I'll be tree shopping in november i guess. Homewares and gift shops would be a chance too, although you'd probably pay a lot more. Re: Xmas decorations…..again! 157Jan 03, 2010 4:16 pm Matilda I LOVE stormy's apothecary jars and have been googling like a mad woman, trying to find where I can buy one, to no avail. Stormy or anyone else, can you please steer me in the right direction? Hi Matilda, The large one on my hall table came from Freedom (was around $70), the little baby one next to it came from Bed Bath N table (approx $25), but may have better luck from 'The Works' if you are in Melbourne. I also have one from Provincial Home Living (approx $70) and one I grabbed at Target about a year ago ($28 on sale). Oh, and smaller 'squashed 'version of the large Freedom one, also from Freedom which was about $45 from memory. I love them to death, but poor Hubby just rolls his eyes when I buy another! Stormy, I am in Victoria and actually work a few doors down from a Provincial Home Living. So far, I've resisted the temptation to go in there because I'm trying to save money. Next to the Provincial store is Bed, Bath & Table and next to that is another beautiful homewares store. It's enough to send one mad!! Thanks so much for posting a pic of your collection Stormy, they're just beautiful |
