I absolutely love them. englyn I agree though that there isn't enough contrast against the bricks :S what a ridiculous covenant to cover render colour!! How to Create a Boring Suburb 101... The external colours of our house are our only covenenats. We can do any type of fencing, roof pitch, etc, etc. All houses have to be Tuscan colours. So red roof, cream/browny/pale type bricks, traditional earthy render colours. It is limiting but I must admit the estate doesn't feel boring. It is so open and hilly, and the houses are grouped in areas, with masses of open space. By having similar colours, the whole idea was to not let a few houses dominate the landscape. There are a few monster houses on my estate (and by monster, one is 200sq ). If the covenantgs weren't so strict regarding colours, there could be a massive blue or pink or lime green monstosity across one of the valleys. So I do understand why it has been done. buildingadreamhome Before we knocked down our house and starting building this one we painted all the inside (except for a few feature walls? Self Destruct. We loved the colour and it looked fantastic. When we were considering painting the outside of the house we did a patch at the front to the north and the back to the south. The changes in the colour were incredible. Suffice to say we scrapped it. It was so much paler and yellower than from being inside. Very disappointing to be honest so I understand how you feel. Yep, I just expected it to be more.... muted I guess. to_do_list..... I expected better than that! You've used Rog before in your "neutral" stance! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11634 Hi guys, I want to do some floor levelling before laying the planks and am considering doing it with self-levelling or yellow tongue PB board. I am wondering which one… 0 6597 Interested in getting either the Polytec Boston Oak or Palace Peak for kitchen cabinets.
