Not sure if you can still get it but in our last house we painted a feature wall in Solver sign writing paint. It was a lot more expensive than regular paint but the eggplant colour was stunning .. lovely deep rich colour (true eggplant) and easy to apply. It was around 3 x the price of regular paint from memory but you don't need as much as it's pretty thick and dense in colour. In fact I might try and find it myself .. give my hubby something to do in the holidays . Good luck..
