Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Nov 11, 2009 4:39 pm Hi Michelle I am looking at using Laminex Blackened Linewood for my bathroom vanity cupboards and my laundry cupboard. If you are familiar with this selection, wondering whether you could suggest colours for the benchtops? Unfortunately the samples are quite small and I have found it hard to pick out a matching plain colour. Thanks in advance. jbarry jbarry My build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=25713 13th Oct - Offer on block 4th Dec - Settlement of block scheduled (delayed due to titles) 22nd Feb - Titles Issued 17th Mar - Land Settlement 17th Mar - Pre-start meeting Re: Colour for Benchtops to Match Laminex Blackened Linewood 2Nov 11, 2009 5:55 pm Hi jbarry, We used Blackened Linewood in all our bathrooms & we used Caesarstone Osprey on the top's. The kitchen had Essa Stone Crystal Salt (equivalent to caesar stone ice snow) and in the bathrooms we just used the blacked linewood for the tops. Looks really good. I swear very time I turn around there’s a new colour somewhere!!! And my rep isn’t very good at keeping me updated with sample. I tend to rely on everyone in here to tell me when there’s something new. Make note - REP – yet another email requesting updates! Sorry! It will be for out kitchen so hopefully it will look good. Re: Colour for Benchtops to Match Laminex Blackened Linewood 8Nov 19, 2009 10:58 pm Thanks so much everyone for the replies. You've given me some options to look at. If we've got enough left over from our pre-start allowance we will upgrade to Caesarstone. I have a feeling though given that from quite a few pre-start reports I've read - it may be wishful thinking. We're already sitting at around 60K in upgrades/additions prior to pre-start and I realise that at some point I will need to stop. I'm off to our kitchen show room and possibly the laminex showroom this weekend, so will report back next week on what I've decided to go with. This forum is just fab and you are all a wealth of info. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7138 Hi - thanks for your reply. Yes I think 'Ill go for whitish with very speckly bits rather than pure white something like this.
