Ceiling - ????? Our ceilings are square set and was thinking of having the walls and ceiling the same colour which would be Pebble Bay (not sure if it should be 1/2 strength for just ceiling or walls as well???)
Walls - Taubmans Pebble Bay (maybe 1/2 getting scared it's too dark but we have heaps of natural light think I'm just freaking out over nothing, maybe....)
Skirting - Wattyl Espresso Syrup (very dark purple colour, nearly looks black in small doses) on the front face of the skirting
Architrave - no idea - why wouldn't I have realised this earlier?????
Wheelchair Lift - Dulux colourbond Dune
Windows / Reveals / Frames - again no idea?????
Doors - ditto, no idea....
Flooring - tiles called ash brown (not ash not brown kind of like those knobby bark trees)
I'm happy that the colours I've chosen go together, I've had boards painted and have been looking at them for over a month now.
My main problem is the ceiling and walls as they are happening this week!! I don't want a white ceiling and have seen lots of pics with ceiling and walls same colour. Painter is suggesting we do ceiling 1/2 strength of the walls and flat paint on ceiling. I'm just not sure he said the paint will look like the same colour paint and if we did it the same it would look darker and that the low sheen paint on the ceiling would show up any dings and things but I am a little paraniod as I am painting the walls and have never cut in a square set ceiling before and don't want it to look terrible. Is it that bad for the ceiling to be a little bit darker????
Then I have the problem of the doors and architraves do I go with the Dune colour (which is a bit annoying as it's just the colour the lift comes in not necessarily a colour I would have chosen), I don't want to go with the esspresso syrup as it is so dark i'm pretty sure I will think that it is far too much. Do i just go with the wall colour??? Doesn't really appeal to me though.
Any suggestions???
